Residential Services Practice manual

Department-managed specialised statewide residential services use relevant sections of this manual in conjunction with service specific policies and procedures.

The Residential Services Practice Manual (RSPM) outlines the roles and responsibilities of disability services support staff working in residential services managed by us.

The manual describes best practice approaches to supporting people who live in residential services and applies to department-managed group homes, facility-based respite and residential institutions.

Funded community service organisations that provide residential services for people with disabilities may also use the contents of this manual without seeking permission providing any changes made are insubstantial. If an agency has a need to make substantial changes to the document, we suggest your agency develop its own practice guide. Please do not breach crown copyright.

The forms and templates referred to in the manual are provided as a ZIP file, as examples of the our forms that may assist organisations in the development of their own systems. They are not designed for use by other organisations without customisation and should not be used without removing the our branding.
